Eleanor Roosevelt was undoubtedly well educated and there are a multitude of her quotes to be found on the internet. I love this one, although I feel like it is something to aim for rather than a natural state of being. Unfortunately I would love it if that were true for me but I can really struggle when people put me down or criticise me. I love the theory that I have the power to decide whether it bothers me or not - but that can take a lot of hard work from me to bring into play. Well, actually it depends on who it comes from to be honest - if I care about and/or value that person I find it difficult but if I am ambivalent or not influenced by that person I am much better at not letting their thoughts or opinions bother me. Yep, I definitely think it something to aim for!

I agree and Disagree with this quote because, even if people Have a strong mindset, and you don't let words hurt you, over time things build up and it will affect you even if you don't believe it.
