Cinquain
Cinquain (pronounced ‘sin-cane’), is a form of poetry that is very popular due to its simplicity. It is similar to Japanese poetic form, such as haiku.
It is made up of five lines.
The writing is syllable based where the first and last lines have just two syllables, the 2nd line has 4, the 3rd line has 6 and the 4th line has 8. So the pattern is 2 4 6 8 2.

Please watch the following clip. After that I would like you to write the definition of Cinquain Poetry into your Poetry workbook. You can then accept the challenge at hand and see if you can come up with your own Cinquain poem - we are just going to focus on the layout above (as cool as Garland Cinquain sounds - and looks!). As with the others, post your favourite one (that you have written) in the Poetry Corner. Your topics are either 'Win A Battle, Start a War' OR 'Weak Hands'. Good luck! :)
